Michael Vick related in salary with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning

By: Percy Olive

Michael Vick has had a bad turnout and is now re instated in the NFL to do his thing with Philadephia Eagles. He is now making the big bucks and making good money now. I feel that he is a good man and deserves a second chance and he has what it takes to take the Eagles on their way. I was surprise to see his excitement and how he handled coming back into the league. He really changed around his whole demeanor and now people look at Vick and say that he can make it the SuperBowl with the Eagles.

Jackson Native on 107 counts of Rape

By: Percy Olive

Wow. This shit is tradegic, I can't believe there would be a man out there with this type of mindset to go and actually do this to a child. That is just not cool. An 11 year old boy molested over a repeated time over a year and a half. That shit really is crazy. I can't believe that i actually just read a story about this and it kinda hurted me because i read it and i just felt sorry for the young boy who has to go through this suffering and more.

Obama, pitches job plan

“He better be prepared to say something that people haven’t heard before, or it’s going to be counterproductive,” said Stephen Hess, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. “In many ways, he’s run out of options, at least the options that you’d want to advertise before a full-blooded, joint session of Congress.”
Even some of his critics grant that Obama is a gifted orator and that he has used the big speech effectively to get himself out of political trouble before.

Percy: I think that obama is doing a great job in the presidency. He is looking forward to building the economy and help people establish theirselves in the world. Building better jobs and more jobs is helping the people who have been out of work and who need work will have the ability to do what they need to do.

Jury unable to Reach verdict

McInerney, then 14, shot King twice in the back of the head in a school computer lab on Feb. 12, 2008. The prosecution says it was a calculated murder carried out in part because McInerney was exploring white supremacist ideology and didn't like homosexuals.

Why didn’t the school administrators step in to quell the tensions rising on campus after King started taunting boys on campus with flirtations that he knew would upset them? Was the defense employing a “gay panic” strategy in blaming the victim for being killed? And, more broadly, why was McInerney, who was 14 at the time of the killing, even being tried as an adult?
Over eight weeks of testimony, the prosecution laid out a case of premeditated murder by McInerney, who prosecutor Maeve Fox described as a bright boy from a broken and violent home who knew what he was doing when he brought a .22-caliber gun to school.
McInerney was upset that King had come up to him at school the day before and said, “What’s up, baby?” Fox said.

Percy: It is very hurtful that people can react in such a way about somethings taken out of context. I seriously doubt that the words was labeled that way and if was really portrayed the way it was. I mean i think that it shouldn't have been that hard to actually convict somebody for such a hateful crime. What do you think?

Guilty Verdict

A man arrested this year in the killing of another man at a motorcycle club in Round Lake Beach in 1982 was convicted of murder this afternoon.

Robert Bostic, 71, faces 20 to 60 years in prison when he is sentenced. He was found guilty of killing Carlton Richmond, 31.

Bostic's attorneys declined to put on a defense, and Bostic did not take the stand during the trial, which started on Monday.

Bostic was arrested in January and charged with the shooting death that took place nearly 30 years before. Since then, prosecutors have indicated that some of the witnesses had changed their stories.

In court Wednesday, prosecutors played recordings of phone calls Bostic made to relatives from jail that they said showed Bostic was trying to persuade family members to put pressure on witnesses to recant.

Deliberations began this morning.

Percy: I feel that this is a very difficult subject to response on because so much time has passed. I mean this guy is now 71 years old and now he will be facing basically the rest of his life in jail. How do i feel about this? I feel that yes, justice does need to be prevailed but at the same time now the man who have been free since 1982, which is 29 years, so now his family has to grieve for the lost of their family member. So is this really justice served??
