Beam Global Spirits & Wine and Courvoisier, one of the world's leading cognac houses, announced today the addition of Courvoisier Rose to its portfolio. The spirit, identical in color to rosé wine, is a blend of cognac and premium French wine grapes. The flavor profile features notes of blackberry, black currant and a touch of cherry, complemented by vanilla, honey and vine-peach flavors.
Courvoisier intends for consumers to drink the 36 proof Courvoisier Rose alone, as opposed to blending with juice or other mixers, as cognac drinkers sometimes do. Traditional cognac is 40% alcohol, while Courvoisier Rose is only 18%.
